Cattle and sheep market reports show gains across classes
Demand remained strong through the week with tighter supplies pushing prices higher. Steers heifers and bulls rose to 28 cents, cows to 25, with prime fed steers up to the ceiling near 1000 dollars and long fed Utah heifers around 1413 dollars. Meat prices varied, with good to choice steers reaching 1675 to 1720, feedlot orders active, and calves and vealers strengthening. Sheep trading was firm as lambs and ewes posted modest gains and prices.
