Periodical mail rules restrict overseas subscriptions for service members
A 1943 regulation bans sending newspapers and periodicals to Navy Marine Corps or Guard on overseas duty without a written request. Subscriptions may continue but not renew without service member consent. Navy urges clipping items and mailing them when possible as Army regulation already exists. With troop movements, shipping space will be tight.
