Invitations were sent by the Alpine chamber of commerce to Gov Allred state legislators and Texas newspapers for a two day park tour July 3 4. Visitors depart Alpine at noon July 3 for Big Bend park stay at CCC barracks in Green Gulch Chisos mountains horse ride noon barbecue by Big Bend Davis Mountains chamber of commerce then to Marfa for entertainment with the Marfa chamber of commerce and on to Davis Mountain park for another barbecue at Aztec Village. About 250 visitors expected.

Fort Davis June 12. Four concrete bridges and about twenty culverts on the Musquiz canyon road near completion. The work, contracted by Holland Page with E4 Page as superintendent, should finish this month barring delays. The canyon rock cut and road work remain under state highway department, expected to finish by late July. About a hundred workers and locals hope for further bridge and road projects in Lim Pla canyon. Rev. J A Kidd, Baptist missionary, returns from Red Bluff where he organized a church during a 12 day meeting near the Pecos dam site.
