Judge grants injunction in Daughters of Confederacy case
Judge C A Wilcox of the 26th district court in Georgetown issued a temporary writ restraining A B Conley, superintendent of public buildings and grounds, from ousting the Daughters of the Confederacy from their quarters at the state house. The order was mailed from Georgetown to Austin and filed at the district clerk's office. Emily Davison, the suffragist who triggered the Derby incident, has recovered consciousness and is able to take nourishment after injuries. She is a well known English suffragette and an education leader.
