El Paso YMCA Promotes Big Bend Camino Del Rio Tours
The Armed Services YMCA and Central YMCA Strangers Club sponsor the Camino del Rio tour series starting June 5. Escorted trips visit Big Box Canyon, Rancho Escondido, Porvenir ghost town, Capote Water, Pinto Canyon, Fort Candelaria ruins, and Marfa area, looping from El Paso through Presidio and back. Tours target rock hounds, historians, and outdoor enthusiasts with emphasis on the Texas Rio Grande frontier.
