Brewster Oil Test Reaches 1200 Feet
Sun Oil Co drilling on No 1 Nellie Mae McElroy resumed after a 16 hour stoppage due to high water in a draw between State Highway 18 and Brewster County wildcat. The well at 1200 feet shows lime and is unlikely to produce oil within 500 more feet. The 1920 Wilson well yielded oil at 1600 to 1700 feet. Drilling is rated as medium with a hard formation near the top and limited water impact so far.

Collie Pipeline Damaged by Heavy Rains Repaired in Two Hours

H L Kokernot of Alpine and Kokernot Field was named an official contact man for the Milwaukee Braves and received an official card at the National League All Star game in Milwaukee.
