Hord family to open bar bershop in McCamey
Hord brothers plan to open a barber shop at McCamey near town about February first. Joe Hord raided Tuesday. Stored fixtures from Alpine will be shipped to McCamey for the new shop. Joe Hord and Hayes Hord will run it while keeping residence here for periodic business trips.
T. E. L. class social hosts share sister duties
Mesdames Easton Alien and D M Bennett hosted the T E L class social at Bennett's home last Friday afternoon with about 30 members present. Each member's sister for the prior month was revealed and a new sister selected for January. Reports on each member's efforts followed, then a social hour and refreshments.

Woman's Council Plans Open Meeting and Sale
The Presbyterian women's council met at Mrs. John Perkins home with good attendance. Bible reading and prayer opened the session. Plans for future work were discussed and committees appointed. An open meeting is set for March 4 for World Prayer for Missions, and a Harvest Sale is planned for January 20 to 22. Two new members, Mrs. J. E. Doddridge and Mrs. Chas Burnam, joined the group.
