Greeley potatoes and town notes in Alpine 1901
In Alpine an array of brief items marks a snowless week: carloads of Greeley potatoes and canned goods arrive. townsfolk include Joe Setters river guard and Tom Gourley returning from El Paso. Local land fencing, house additions, and ranch trips are noted along with cattle shipments and a New Year party. A Marfa windstorm and a court house dance near year’s end round out the items.
