Marathon Chamber Plans Brochure Purchases
Marathon Chamber of Commerce met Monday February 26 at 7 30 p m in the Community Building. Members voted to buy brochures on locations of Old Missions Frontier Forts and Indian Battles in Texas. Weekend visitors included the Stumbergs Miller and Thompson family and trips to El Paso Las Cruces and Clarksville are noted.

Patrolman James Nixon reports more than 29,000 vehicles in Brewster Culberson Jeff Davis Loving Pecos Presidio Reeves Ward and Winkler counties await inspection for the 1968 sticker with only 35 percent done. The area has 45,747 registered vehicles and new rules require front seat belts where original equipment anchors exist and also affect steering wheels and rims.
