The February 21 1947 opening day program for Marfa and Alpine features Miss Minnie Arriola Spanish teacher at Marfa High School a Sul Ross College graduate and former U S censorship worker. Bill Scholefield born Sheffield England and Alpine junior at Sul Ross hosts along with Sul Ross Band and KVLF segments. Notable participants include Miss Arriola Miss Valenzuela Alice Q and local clubs. The event includes musical performances news rounds and a dance program with Marin participants and the Spanish Hour.
