Pump Tested at Micou Estate Water Well near South Hill

A pump was installed yesterday to test the Micou estate water well at the foot of South Hill on city land. The well, cleaned and drilled to about 300 feet, will have a pump set at 250 feet. Officials note the Micou water may not share sources with hillside wells, one of which is the strongest in the system. After testing, the hillside well was operated for several hours with no apparent effect on the Micou well. Also, Mr and Mrs Charles Thomas returned Monday from El Paso after an eye operation two weeks ago.
