New Law Expands Housing Credit Reach for Brewster County
The Farmers Home Administration gains broader loan authority under the Demonstration Cities and Metropolitan Development Act signed by President Johnson. The changes allow more low and moderate income Brewster County families to qualify for housing credits, enable construction of new homes, allow co-signer eligibility for certain borrowers, raise emergency repair assistance, and permit refinancing to prevent foreclosures.
