The High School presented a Style Show at the School Auditorial featuring Industrial Art work under Miss Price. Students modeled a nineteen nineteen era display with costumes and exhibits showing progress. A candy sale raised funds for needed equipment and parents regretted few attendees.
Epworth League hosts a Christmas and New Year program featuring Joy To th and Matthew 2 readings. The service includes prayers, scripture, special music, and notes on the year ahead. Local members and visitors, including Mrs J J Water ial, Miss Myrtle Scoggins, and others, attend from Alpine and Marathon communities.

The two men are known for quality breeding. They also sent two carloads of cows from Combs Ranch Tast week Friday.
Hon Pat Neff, candidate for Texas governor, will address residents in Alpine Wednesday evening. The visit marks a notable stop as he outlines his platform and calls for support from the local crowd.
Terri pleasant caller at The Avalanche office Saturday, F Peperkorn, a geologist since 1895, spent time in Brewster county and is greatly interested in the quicksilver industry. He read our article from Mr Waldron and hopes to pursue mining opportunities locally.
A Christmas musicale at the First Christian Church Sunday evening offered a varied program of Christmas anthems. The performance impressed the audience from the opening notes through the final chorus, highlighting the pastor and choir for their fine organization and the congregation’s appreciation.
The Coli Sextette, popular in readings, will give a Holiday season program at the High School next Tuesday night December 30 at 7 30 p m. The act promises a varied program from a long evening lineup.
