All-Star Band Concert Tonight at Sul Ross Auditorium
The All-Star Band from Sul Ross Band Camp will perform at 8 tonight in the Sul Ross Auditorium conducted by A. R. Casavant. Admission is free and the public is invited. The Friday night program is canceled because four clinic bands have football games Friday night and must depart Alpine Friday afternoon.

Mrs Arnold Laid To Rest In El Paso Funeral
Mrs Mabel D Arnold 76 a Marathon resident for 40 years died in an El Paso hospital on August 23. Funeral services were held in El Paso with burial at Restlawn Mausoleum. She active in civic affairs and a charter Marathon Study Club member. Survived by two daughters and three granddaughters.
