Marathon mourns two funerals and community notices
Two funeral services were held Aug 20 at the First Baptist Church Marathon for Tommy Smith and Jack Dott. Survivors include parents, siblings, and several relatives. Community ads announce church events, a two day Post celebration with a dance and barbecue, plus local school staff listings and a Gulf Coast family birth. The GI Bill overview notes educations, loans, and readjustment aid, with current emphasis on the loan program.
