7 P M Mail Deadline For Evening Trains
Postmaster Billy West announced a 7 pm cutoff for all mail to evening trains 1 and 2 starting May 2. Mail after 7 pm will not be accepted for night trains due to cost of overtime. Boxes at the Post Office must be used by 7 pm for connections. Earlier closings were 8 pm westbound and 8:20 pm eastbound. Playoffs Set for May 2 as the last ISA activity. Alpine Central School principal D E Jones notes the date, with Marfa High School leader Morris Ledger promising brackets soon.
