Tuesday April 21 commemorates the 128th anniversary of the Battle of San Jacinto. Miss Milton Hill notes Texas won independence on April 21, 1836, after a brief 20 minute clash. Santa Anna was captured while fleeing in disguise as a laborer and later acknowledged by Col. John J. Linn.
