Orient right of way contract near completion
The San Angelo Standard notes the grading contract for the Orient right of way 50 miles west of Merizon and 25 miles east of Fort Stockton is virtually let and will be signed when the Stilwell special reaches Kansas City. The El Paso Herald reports county official Crenshaw and mining machinery dealer McDowell fought over a $9 bill. McDowell was fined $5 for fighting and Crenshaw’s case was continued. Livestock price records for 1910 cattle in West Texas rose with 500 steers sold to a Fort Worth commission house at about $39, to be shipped from Brownwood.
