Alpine voters elected Dave Elliott and T A Beard to two year council terms alongside incumbent C D McCollister in Tuesday's city election. Elliott led with 391 votes, McCollister 299, Beard 269, Floyd 230, Hernandez 227. Whiteside did not seek re election. Holdovers are Mayor Lockhart Winter and Corkins. Mrs Billie Wilson of Marathon and four related Marathon residents were injured in a two car wreck on the outskirts of Midland last Sunday afternoon. Relatives including Mrs Jim Skinner and Hal Sansom sustained serious injuries while Wanda Sansom and others were treated. The crash occurred one mile north of the Andrews Highway at Holiday Hill Road.
