Labor Day Picnic At Fair Grounds With Contests

Palmer Ranch Show Delights Attendees With Exhibitions
Frank Palmer staged a wild west show at his ranch drawing nearly five hundred spectators from afar. The event featured thirty five head of horses and steers ridden, a pitching contest won by Ed Alliance, and a tug of war and potato race with Walters riding the pitching ball. Some horses and steers proved wild, a three year old steer wearing out eight men attempting to saddle it.
