Sheriff C E Hall of Holt County arrived in O Neill to escort Len Reed back to Holt County on a horse theft charge. Reed said he is from Alliance and borrowed a horse to visit a young woman thirty miles away. horse and rider vanished en route. Reed was arrested on Holt County Telegram by Sheriff Wiker and is to answer in O Neill court.
A highly anticipated game sets for next Sunday at 3 40 PM between married and single expert players of the city. The matchup follows a prior contest and promises spirited play. Gate receipts will help liquidate the baseball association debts from the season.
Sheriff Beckwith of Sheridan county arrived in the city last Saturday from Roswell New Mexico with Ralph Neiman charged with the murder of Emil Sandoz near Grayson.
