At a Commercial club meeting the Execu tive Committee authorized preparing motions to secure a bond issue vote for a city sewer system. Engineers approve current plans with minor changes and annexation petitions seek outlying additions to join the city. Distinguished speakers Hon. H B Fleharty and Hon. A C Shallenberger will address voters in Alliance on October 6 and 15 with talks across Crawford and Hemingford venues.
Former governor candidate A C Shallenberger will speak in Alliance on Tuesday October 14 at 7 p.m. He is billed as a strong speaker likely to cover campaign issues and unite party members. He will also address Hemingford at 3 p.m. that day.
The scheduled public talk last Saturday night did not occur due to Hon. Geo. W. Kingsley of Kansas City being unable to reach on time. Many attendees expressed regret over the unavoidable delay and absence.
