The Alliance Herald reports Burr Printing Co owners at the port office dealing with a transiniation matter. Officials include George L. Burr Jr and Edwin M. Burr with publication details and rates listed for annual subscriptions in advance.
Mrs. H A Wilson and sister Mrs. W Wilson spend a few days in Denver. Mrs Johnson visits her parents at Scottsbluff. Traveling Electrician J R Dent was in Alliance last week. Traveling Auditor whnn visited Alliance Saturday. B E Gay of Edgemont travels to Tecumseh to visit friends.
Local residents travel for visits and work assignments. Distant moves include Deriha Garrett and Helen Coulter in Hot Springs, Altera returning from Edgemont, and McKune family to Grand Rapids. Others travel or seek medical leave, with notes on a few illnesses and injuries.
A long list records railroad workers on leave and travel from Alliance including brakemen, machinists, firemen and foremen visiting Denver, Casper, Omaha, Deadwood and Mason. Also noted is a small public sale of U S Army pants and a factory ball game win 15 to 8. The Board of Equalization schedules a July 4 meeting.
Ordinance 283 authorizes immediate construction of sanitary sewers in Sewer District No. 11 in Alliance Nebraska with costs assessed to abutting property after completion. It stipulates state statute basis, city approval, and publication. Passed June 11, 1920 with City Clerk Grace H. Kennedy attesting.
