The city council adopts Ordinance No 222 altering license occupation taxes on fire insurance companies. Fire insurers with agents or offices in Alliance pay $5 annually, pro rata via the fiscal year beginning second Monday in August. Penalties apply for nonpayment. ordinance takes effect after publication.
James Watson of Marple sold his 800 acre ranch, location of the Marple post office, for 11000 Tuesday. The sale was arranged through V. Canfield of Hemingford. McCormick National Chairman Harrisburg Pa June 17 Vance McCormick, newly elected Democratic national chairman, said he would accept after receiving a telegram announcing his election.
