Clothing at cost at the Fair Store and a new stock of fine leather and velour rockers. B F Lockwood announces an immense furniture assortment with prices, while F J Brennan Co. showcases a new wall paper line. Also notices sale of two Durham bulls and Hem ingford mill prices on flour and feeds.
An old health note claims blackheads pimples and muddy complexions stem from liver trouble. It recommends an occasional dose of Herbine to cleanse bowels regulate the liver and restore a clear complexion. Fifty cents at F J Brennan Co.
The Nebraska Supreme Court rules city councils cannot arbitrarily deny liquor licenses and must issue writs when improper actions are found. The Alliance case centers on H C Armstrong and a council that revoked licenses after an initial grant, with mandamus proceedings leading to a legal rebuke of one man rule and guidance on damages and appeals.
W C Brown of Keya Paha was nominated for state senator at the Valentine convention on the tenth inst. Box Butte county failed to send a delegate. The Elkhorn funds and Republican fares prove hard. Mrs Ursula Tuttle’s suit over her husband’s death in the Hyannis wreck was settled for 3740 dollars by B M railroad in Omaha courts by mutual agreement.
Services Sunday led by Pastor G. C. Jeffers include morning sermon Christ the Pardon Bringer and evening discourse The Lost Christ. Sunday school at 10, C E meeting at 7 15 p.m. Winnie Hutchinson leads. Midweek prayer Thursday evening. A welcome to all services.
