In Defence of Democracy at Alliance 1914 Convention
An Alliance editorial denounces William Mitchell and T. J. O Keefe for allegedly corrupting the Box Butte county Democratic convention of July 1914. The writer recounts steamroller tactics, claims of religious prejudice, and calls for reform via direct democracy and local voting. The piece defends the rank and file against machine manipulation and urges readers to verify facts at Alliance.
