Notice to property owners within Paving District No 3 Alliance Neb has been created by Ordinance 271. Objections by majority abutting owners must be filed with the City Clerk within 20 days of first publication or the paving will proceed and Ordinance 271 will be repealed.
Notice outlines bidding for district paving in Alliance with material options set by mayor and council, and petitions from abutting property owners. It specifies a ten day bid-postponement, the right to accept a material by majority petition, or reject bids, plus list of streets affected. The date of first publication is January 16, 1920, with a February 10 meeting to consider objections. Hemingford Implement and Investment Company formed with $50,000 capital, main office Hemingford Nebraska, to buy sell farms and implements, initial organization in 1920.
A Nebraska corporation is formed at Alliance to operate a broad packing business. The charter outlines real estate, stockyards, livestock exchange, poultry dairy products, cold storage, coal and other commodities, and general wholesale retail operations. Authorized capital is 1.5 million dollars, 90 000 shares at 50 each, with nine directors and a three-director interim board. Incorporators are John W. Guthrie Glen Miller and R E Plumbe. Mitchell Gantz acts as attorney. File date February 24.
On March 15, 1940, W. L. Brown G. W. Puckett and Arthur Mueller incorporated a new entity. Warren and Hodgkins, attorneys, filed the papers in Sidney Nebraska. The notice names Incorporatora as the firm and lists the legal representatives.
