The secretary of agriculture issued two orders affecting foreign potatoes. One bans entry from infected districts and the other extends quarantine to rest of Europe and Canada to protect U.S. crops. The measure, effective since 1912, may ease as disease-free areas are confirmed and allows movement of this year's crop under regulation.
