An old advertisement lists a dentist operating above Brennan's Drug Store offering evening appointments and noting a phone number 525 for contact.
After 23 years residence in Box Butte county the owner quits farming and sells at public auction near Alliance on Wednesday February 28 at 10 a m. The sale lists 20 mares and horses in foal to imported Shire, 1 gray two year old mare, 1 bay gelding, 6 head yearlings, 5 head colts, 7 brood sows, 8 fall shoats, 1 mule hog, 50 head cattle with cows and calves, 250 bushels corn and 50 bushels fall rye, farming equipment including McCormick binder, digger, planter, cultivators, seeder, mower and rake, sulky plow, two wagons, disc and harrow, plus household goods. A local lecture series announces its next program scheduled for February 23 at the Phelan Opera House. The evening presents new topics and speakers in a community cultural event.

Simon Spry and Herbert Tompkins shipped a carload of horses to St Louis on Tuesday. The stock, bought locally, indicates a surplus of horses being raised for shipment rather than home use. The move reflects growing attention to improving blooded stock in Nebraska.

Evangelist Oscar Lowry leads the union revival planned in Alliance with a 60 by 120 foot tabernacle seating 1500. Mrs Moody assists. Moody and choir visit Beatrice after two weeks of evangelistic work as the Beatrice Daily Sun praises the effort and permanent press coverage is anticipated.
Sister Renata died Saturday night at St Agnes Academy after a long frail illness. She came from Stella New York last summer and taught in higher classes. Funeral from the convent chapel Monday at 7 after requiem mass. Six academy sisters served as pallbearers and twelve students followed the casket and lit tapers. Deceased leaves an aged mother and a brother Jesuit priest in New York.
Mrs Edith Swan Zediker entertained Monday evening in honor of Miss Rowena Kroner of Gering. The event featured a musical program performed by Beulah and Dorothy Smith and Hattle Hensvold, showcasing the hosts' accomplished pupils.
Mrs Jas. Martin of Edgemont is visiting Mrs W H Miller for an informal social week. Mrs Miller’s home on Main Street will host light calls and afternoon tea sessions during the visit.
