Insanity Declared for Hog Butte County Resident
Patrick Collins of Hog Butte County twelve miles north of Alliance is found insane by the insanity board. He is held in custody awaiting Lincoln asylum admission after Sheriff Read escorted him there. The cause cited is distress over a land dispute affecting a joint quarter section used for grazing. In addition the text notes a land sale netting 3989.25 with 24 quarters sold, four remain unsold, and lists multiple buyers and associates linked to stock and land firms.
