Adolph Brost sixty pioneer Box Butte county farmer committed suicide at his home thirteen miles northeast of Alliance by shooting himself in the head with a shotgun. He was despondent over financial affairs and left a fourteen year old son. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Alliance and interment was in Greenwool cemetery.
