A Lions Club dinner in Alliance heard J. Rhein outline a statewide drive to boost Nebraska farming profits by year round dairy activity. A South Omaha dairy cattle exchange, field agents in eastern states, and quality thoroughbred cattle purchases are planned to stabilize income and aid farmers. The project, backed by the Omaha Chamber of Commerce, seeks War Finance Corporation support and aims to ship cattle and dairy products to fund operations while keeping costs low. Box Butte County shows early profitability potential with local farmers urged to participate.
