Court Rules on Highlander Pioneer Certificates Case

A Nebraska court holds the Royal Highlanders liable for endowment certificates issued since 1898 while special rate changes discriminate among holders. It finds funds may be insufficient to cover all claims and notes 1,774 pioneer certificates totaling 3,166,000 in insured value and 26,608 certificates issued since 1919 with 36,088,700 in coverage. The ruling calls 1919 changes void and will be appealed to the Supreme Court.
