Meanwhile Percy Cogswell faced a severe leg amputation at St Francis hospital after a gangrene infection.
Horatio N. Clifford from Alliance was taken to Saint Francis hospital in Grand Island Saturday night after blood poisoning from a corn cut. Doctors performed amputation of the affected limb but doubt recovery due to his age and weakened condition. he was reported resting easy at last contact.
