Military Academy in Missouri Destroyed by Fire
In Mexico Missouri on September 25 a large fire destroyed the Missouri Military Academy dormitories. About 100 cadets slept through the blaze and some jumped from third floor windows to escape. Roughly twenty cadets were injured but none fatally. Origin unknown but thought incendiary. Losses run to seventy five thousand dollars with forty thousand insurance.
