Why boys Leave the Farm and the Missing Agricultural Press
The writer argues farm youth drift away due to schooling and reading that ignores agriculture. Biographies and papers celebrate lawyers merchants railroads and wealth, not farming. Agricultural content is relegated to meager ads and irrelevant political slips, with no first class agricultural paper in many homes.
