Report from Germania describes Simon Stetten who paid 900 after Deputy Revenue Collector Sage demanded 600 for a license to sell oleomargarine and penalties for adding tallow to butter. Stetten, not guilty, contends he was misled and seeks refunds.
Emmetsburg Company K won the regimental cup in a tight meet against Algona after a prior loss by one point in Emmetsburg. A rematch on Algona range amid continual rain produced unclear sights and a disputed result as both sides swore to the outcomes.
