Soldier Loses Foot In Minhag At Des Moines Track

Private Francis Drake of Company K 349th Tantry was struck by a Braver interurban train near Polk Junction Des Moines. He suffered a smashed left foot requiring amputation at Camp Dodge base hospital. Drake from I Mnote was found on the track by a baggage train motorman.
