Britain to call 1,000,000 more men in new war drive

London November 13. The British government will call for 1 million additional troops beyond already voted for 1914 and 1916, not affecting the territorial force. Forty Seven Inmates At Anamosa Reformatory On State College Road Work

Des Moines reports say prisoners from Anamosa reformatory staff a road project on Iowa State College property in Ames. The work is 10 percent complete with 4044.81 paid in salaries to 25 inmates, rising to 47 as a new pavement crew joined. They earn 2.40 a day, with only two guards on site.
