Nighten ed Robbers at Sigourney Farm Home
In Sigourney on May 12 a theft occurred at the Minnie and Lon Suakenberg farm east of town. Two watches valued at 25 dollars each and about 50 dollars in cash were stolen. The robbers fled after the women screamed. The homeowners tried to telephone neighbors but wiring had been cut. Sheriff Baty detained a suspicious mud-spattered man near the jail residence, found stolen property in his possession, and the suspect, John F. Doyle, waived examination and was bound over to the grand jury in a 1000 dollar bond. He remains jailed.
