Electroliers to Be Extended North West Depot
A local drive after the banquet aims to install electroliers along State Street to the N W depot with at least three posts per block. About $600 has been subscribed so far, with potential to reach $1000 from A M Jasperson. The plan calls for 36 electroliers across six blocks, and on light days one globe per block may suffice.

Compromise Proposed for Open Air Concerts
At a recent banquet a proposal emerged to settle when to hold evening open air concerts. Some prefer Saturday or Wednesday evenings, others object to those days. Col Spencer argues Wednesday evenings conflict with prayer. A compromise suggests Sunday 3 pm sacred concerts on the courthouse lawn, under elm and maple shade, supporting faith, work, and worship.
