Officials have avoided comment, but recent visits by Rock Island executives to New Mexico, plus reports of a near completion, suggest a likely sale and trains into Albuquerque within a year.
Family struggles with identification as Elsie Siegel is confirmed dead after a complex postmortem. Police probe a web of suspects including Leon Ling and Cho Gain while reports detail clothing, a distinctive white pin, and claims of a smothering or drugging death. Father Paul Siegel, brother Reginald, and Mabel Riegel confront the shock as investigation continues.
