Stockholders and officials have clashed for months with President W E Green opposing the move and John D Milliken recently stepping down. The road, completed to Greeley in 1916, aims at Wyoming coal fields and the Pacific Northwest.

Three cloudbursts in Wyoming last night killed at least two people and left several missing. About 200 people were homeless as floods damaged Buffalo and surrounding areas, with Laramie and Wheatland also hit. A relief fund of 1000 dollars was sent to Buffalo as rescue and recovery efforts began.
In Grand Junction Colorado Carl Bowers eleven years old shot and killed a hundred pound cinnamon bear with a calibre rifle. The bear rushed from bushes on Pinon Mesa as the boy hunted rabbits. He fired once striking the bear in the forehead.
