Acquitted of Dynamiting Trout Trio in Pecos Case
E Peden H Williams and Fred Layfield three Santa Fe machinists were arrested Friday afternoon by Captain red Fornoff near San Miguel county on a dynamiting trout charge. A justice of the peace yesterday acquitted them and they returned to work in Santa Fe. They testified they fished Pecos with rod and reel and caught about twenty five trout in two days. Williams said rivals envied visiting fishermen and they were not guilty. Peden added they traded several fish at the Valley ranch for a MTL to Howe.
