Mrs. Emaline Cosper widow of George W. Cosper died April 22 at her son S C Cosper's Kendallville home after months of illness. Born July 17, 1833 in Canton Ohio she lived in Brimfield forty nine years. Survived by son S C Casper one granddaughter a brother Hon Orlando Kimmell of York Township. Ligonier colony residents at Diamond Lake plan to stock the water with fish this summer to create a fisher man paradise and guard against fish hogs. Bass will be introduced, with long term sport and food in mind. Postmaster George Gaby has asked the state fish and game commissioner George Miles to send a man to stake the lake and protect breeding beds. Miles will act and refer the matter to Chief Deputy Fleming of Fort Wayne for immediate action.

Matthews Injured In Motorcycle Accident Near Smith Bridge

Last Tuesday afternoon W H Matthews was crossing Smith bridge west of town when his motorcycle swerved and fell on his left leg causing two fractures below the knee. He was taken to his sister Mrs C Thomas home northwest of Wolf Lake and is recovering from injuries.
