Man Run Over by Switch Engine near Albany

Montezuma resident W. H. Parker was struck by an Atlantic Coast Line switch engine near the A. C. S. trestle last Saturday night. He lies in critical condition with severe injuries including decapitated-like trauma to the left hip and arm, facial lacerations, and a temple wound. Parker, en route to Ty Ty to visit his wife's mother, was found on the track. his wife Mrs. Parker arrived to be at his bedside.

Negro killed by live electric wire near plant

John Harris, an Alabama negro, was instantly killed near the Virginia Carolina Chemical Co plant yesterday evening after touching a live wire. Isom Shelton and Thad Pace witnessed the accident as a tornado's aftermath blew down telegraph poles along the Central of Georgia line. Coroner Kearney noted no inquest was needed.

Negro at Pretoria Runs Amuck in Town

Deputy Sheriff William Godwin arrested James Day, a negro, after he fired a revolver along Pretoria streets, killed a cow belonging to Mrs. Herrick, and caused a public disturbance. Day, described as drunk and acting irrationally, is held on multiple charges.
