Paris reports France delays decisive action on Venezuela awaiting Washington guidance. Ambassador Jusserand has been instructed on France's view and is presenting it to the American government for consideration.
New York January 20. A cablegram from Willemstad says M. Taigny former French chargé d affaires at Caracas has been ordered to go to Washington to report to Jussery and the French ambassador to the United States and take the next steamer. He must wait for the Red Liner sailing January 25 to avoid entering the Venezuelan port.
In Atlanta on January 20, John Kennedy a disabled man faced arraignment in the recorder's court for soliciting alms. The recorder dismissed the case without a fine and ordered Kennedy to depart town within three hours, a lenient judgment aimed at ensuring he left promptly.

In Atlanta on January 20 a Tennessee wife fled their home after finding a photograph of another woman in her husband's coat pocket. Detectives found her at Luckie Street and recovered a letter from the photo’s owner. Husband claims it was a practical joke. wife later reconciled and returned home with him.

A two year old Black child was found wandering in Arcadia woods by a woman en route to work. the mother was later located, citing the child often ran away from home.
