Washington reports from Santo Domingo say the SMAUTO-DOMINGAN revolution is practically ended with troops dispersing and the country growing quiet. A proclamation calls Congress to impeach President Morales.
Mrs. Jos S. Davis writes the Albany Georgia Herald appealing for continued public aid to reach the hospital fundraising goal. A January 5 1906 note describes a January 10 1906 Rawlins theater event starring tenor Jas Boone of New York, praised for his voice and career. Proceeds aid the Ladies Hospital Aid Association and Albany Hospital.
A dated notice states the end of the Buggy Wagon and Harness business sales to the Albany Buggy Co. and the firm will be owned and controlled by W Culpepper and S E McGowan. The letter invites former patrons to continue service with the new owners who are thoroughly posted and prepared to provide the best prompt service.

Judge Calhoun sentenced eight negro women to twelve months on the chain gang with $50 fines after guilty pleas. He stated his aim to curb loafing by requiring work for the county if not for themselves. Also a note that Pattison shop property will be withdrawn from sale after Tuesday for an advanced price.

The Wa ts and Flee Light Commission adopted a 20 percent decrease in meter rates and a 10 percent cut for customers without meters effective January first. New York dispatch reports Senor Fialo consul general of Santo Domingo says Rodriguez death deals a major setback to the Morales insurrection. He claims President Caseres can offer greater aid pending a treaty with the United States and notes Morales sought to leverage the treaty to boost his power.
Manila dispatch reports great activity in the Manila garrisons with three regiments in view of possible eventualities in China. Field orders indicate heightened military activity as tensions with China rise.
New York dispatch reports heavy fighting at Porta Plata Santo Domingo with five generals killed and 120 men died or wounded. Among the Caseros troops Generals Lico and Perez were slain and officers Pedro Venega and Antonio Colderson also killed.
Classified notice advertises a 600 acre property called Kitchen's plantation located 5 miles east of Albany for sale. The listing is attributed to R. Jones with a date code 3-31-BD.
Philadelphia January 6 Dr Charles Elliott Norton of Cambridge joins Mrs Ballington Booth in a campaign to kill the insane and diseased and victims of accidents. He says prolonging life by any means is criminal cruelty. For sale several close in residences. (5-81) ED R JONES.

Principal sufferers received 10 dollars each with smaller shares for other affected individuals. City physicians assist those unable to pay for care as most losses were limited to clothing and household effects.
Fire at the St Louis public library destroyed about 1500 books and manuscripts and caused damage before flames were extinguished. An auction note lists a sale of property at Titts Bridge Hall and the lot in Albany Georgia. Armory notices call for a compulsory meeting of Company H Fourth Infantry National Guard of Georgia in Albany with elections and property handover details.
Bluefields West Virginia January 5 The Eleven victims of the Coaldale mine disaster were removed from the mines at 3 o clock this morning. Other bodies have been located. An explosion of gas occurred yesterday afternoon and at midnight only one body had been recovered.
