Petersburg Plans 23 Classroom Elementary School and Shared Facilities

Architect Linn Forest presented a pre planning package to the Petersburg school board and city council detailing a 23 class room elementary school with a gym and a collegiate size pool. The design allows three classrooms to convert to multipurpose or lunch space with limited kitchen facilities and includes a library. The gym could be split into two spaces and seat 1200 to 1500 for tournaments while the pool provides five lanes and separate public facilities. The plan is modular so construction could proceed if any unit is not approved by voters. Councils will review comments with the new Superintendent and faculty next month.
