The Register-Tribune announces subscription pricing for one year at two dollars six months for six months at one dollar and three months at six hundred. The paper is published every Thursday in Akron Town and is entered at the post office as second class mail matter on September 26 1901.
Westfield residents attend Spencer fair. The Dennison Rickman wedding in Sioux City is noted with gifts and a post ceremony trip to Detroit. Local social events include showers, jury duty, church play practice, and club meetings. Eva Bertrand joins Westfield High, and a Remsen baseball loss prompts a rematch.
Local residents from Akron Elk Point Sioux City and Westfield gather for social events. Mr and Mrs Chas McConville and Chas Green host guests, while Mrs Fred Hummel organizes miscellaneous and school mate showers for Mrs George Henke and others. A Ready Made Family is advertised for Friday.
Special correspondence reports J F Cassen returning to Sioux City after weeks on the Milnerville farm and plans to stay awhile. Roy Cassen and family traveled to Sioux City for a dinner at Roy’s sister Mrs Logan’s home. A L Milner and T B Cassen visit Asa’s friends as they return to the country. Roy’s crew worked on filling a silo but halted work late in the week.

Ruth M. Swift petitions for divorce from William W. Swift in Plymouth County Iowa seeking decree of dissolution of marriage. She cites two years of desertion beginning around April 9, 1923 in Akron Iowa and requests custody of the child or children as applicable. The deadline to answer is September 24, 1987.
The petition seeks support money alimony and costs with other equitable relief. St. Joseph's Catholic church in Struble hosts its annual Fall Festival on Tuesday evening September 28. Events include a chicken supper from 5 30 p m with prices 25 cents for children under 12 and 38 cents for adults plus entertainment and a five dollar prize for the tallest stalk of 1937 Iowa corn.
In Cleveland, before he came to Town, Miss Elizabeth Fuller, a year long relief office case worker, will take charge of the office when Mr. Danchik leaves.
The Friske children thank friends and neighbors for sympathy and help during their mother's illness and after her death. They also thank those who sent pantry supplies and floral offerings.
